| The Pictograph Cave Electronic Field Trip takes you and your students or children on a fascinating adventure into Pictograph Cave State Park. Station by station, students will explore the three caves carved in towering sandstone cliffs where ancient people lived while they hunted. The field trip offers abundant opportunities to learn about Native American culture, artifacts and archeology as well as the animals and plant life of the area. Each station of the field trip begins with an audio track geared to the second grade student. Additional text provides a plethora of information about the caves as well as the history of the surrounding area and is geared to the sixth grade student. Links help students access related information from each station. Reach the electronic field trip through the Activities icon. Under the Educators and Parents icon, you will find valuable teaching aids, including the content of the field trip separated by study areas, such as social studies and science. You will also find lesson plans, independent learning opportunities and additional resources as they become available. |
